The John Preston Tribute Band

The John Preston Tribute Band (JPTB) are a tight slack rock power trio based in Norfolk. Despite the name, JPTB aren’t a tribute act — they’re John Preston’s own band, using “Tribute” as an ironic jab at ego and the music industry’s habit of eating itself. John fronts on bass and vocals, with Brian Eade on guitar and backing vocals, and Les Chappell on drums and backing vocals. They deliver original songs as a direct live set which can expand with guest musicians on the night; set length is adjustable to suit the bill. JPTB can handle small stages or larger rooms and can provide full backline. They also have an acoustic alter ego of double bass, acoustic guitar and drums for mellow, reflective venues still wanting something which grooves and moves.
